7 reasons to package wine in Tetra Prisma® Aseptic

Wine consumption habits are changing, and so are the options for wine packaging. Consumers want more sizes to choose from, freshness that lasts longer, and more sustainability from their packaging. Find out how you can give them what they want, while reducing costs and building your brand. Here are seven reasons to choose Tetra Prisma® Aseptic for your wine.

1. Offer consumers a variety of sizes

There is a growing demand for wine in smaller and single-serve packaging. Most traditional wine packaging is restricted to just one or two sizes, but Tetra Prisma Aseptic offers seven different sizes, ranging from 125ml to 1000ml. This wide range enables consumers to pick the size that suits their lifestyle, from single-servings to easily resealable larger cartons.

2. Choose packaging that matches your brand

Tetra Prisma Aseptic comes in thirteen different packaging combinations. You can choose between two shapes, four openings and seven sizes to mix and match. When you add in the colour and design options for both cap and carton, the possibilities are endless.

3. Maintain freshness and flavour

The advanced aseptic technology keeps the wine fresh without refrigeration or preservatives. The carton’s three materials – paperboard, polyethylene and aluminium – are compressed using heat and pressure to form a six-layer armour. This protects the wine from light, air, dirt and moisture.

4. Reduce costs for storage, shipping and materials

The squared-off shape of Tetra Prisma Aseptic allows more efficient stacking in warehouses and delivery trucks, resulting in fewer transports and lower storage space requirements. The lighter weight and small volume of the packaging also reduces transport costs, and there is less product loss due to breakage. Material costs are also much lower than with traditional packaging components.

5. Make your package your billboard space

Instead of just a small label speaking to customers from the shelf, Tetra Prisma Aseptic has eight sides of printable surface. This gives you much more space for creativity and to communicate your message. The metallised paperboard of the carton gives it a clean, premium look, and allows for a range of printing options.

6. Provide a more sustainable option

Tetra Prisma Aseptic is made mainly from paper, a renewable source, and is 100 percent recyclable. It is also available with packaging material that is Forest Stewardship Council™ certified. The bio-based caps increase the renewability of the packaging, while the unique filling process of the cartons – from the bottom-up – consumes far less energy than filling methods for other wine packages.

7. Increase consumer convenience

Tetra Prisma Aseptic is lightweight with excellent ergonomic properties. This makes it easy for consumers to pick up, carry, pour and drink from. The shock-resistant, durable container won’t shatter and risk product loss or injury, making it safer to carry in public places. The airtight caps make it easy to repeatedly open and reseal the package, keeping the wine fresh longer and reducing waste.
